New Beginnings #2

With the nice, long winter break being over, it's time to get back to work, for the last time. Final semester is going to be tough, but I'm determined to start off strong and finish that way too.

I have two psychology courses in addition to the classes that I took last semester, so I'll have to focus more time in school and less on my personal life.
Right now, I'm trying to come up with a theme for my personal portfolio. I'm leaning towards a dark, simple theme, but I'm still playing around with ideas. I'm sure it'll come around soon enough.

Winding Down

Well things are getting pretty hectic around school on this our last week. We all have things that we need to catch up on, everyone is stressing out over deadlines, literally working themselves sick. Even though winter break is just around the corner, you should always stop and take a breather. A nice hot scented bath usually does the trick for me. I find that my better ideas come up when I'm mentally refreshed.

New Skills

Lately I've been doing a lot of research outside of class to try to learn as much as I can about using my software. I noticed that I'm very conservative about using colors in most of my designs, so I've done some research on gradients and making symbols and masks in Adobe Illustrator. It certainly has improved a lot of my designs and I can't wait to use them more in the future.

Time to officially begin my blog now.

School has started out pretty rough. It's harder to keep track of classes, since they all seem to tie in together and it's harder to tell them apart, so I'll have to come up with a better way of tracking each assignment.

At home, things are pretty uneventful. Although there seems to be something going around. It started with me, and now my mom and sister have it. Hopefully it goes away soon so I can concentrate on school more. I already missed a day because of it.

On a different note, it's Fall season!! It has officially become my absolute favorite. I love the cool, crisp air in the afternoons and the beautiful colors of the changing leaves. Also, pumpkin flavored everything is starting to come out, which is nice. :)

It's a new year

A new semester at school. Pretty excited and scared at the same time, not sure what kinds of messes I'll be getting myself into, but it's sure to be an interesting year. Also, I do have a blog called Egyptian Angel, I don't feel like closing it, so I'll just keep it up, but won't do any more updating. Really, this is just to get into the habit of maintaining a blog, which is apparently very important for potential employers (or something).
